WATCH: ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Drops Newest Trailer

After a decade of teases, and 18 films in their cannon, the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know it will soon come to the end we all knew was coming. We’ve seen team up films before (The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Thor: Ragnarok) but never in the vain of this. The film is to be a direct sequel of Civil War, and take place shortly after the events of Black Pantheras we see a large portion taking place on Wakanda.

Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Hulk, Black Widow, Vision, Scarlett Witch, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, The Guardians of the Galaxy, and Black Panther look to go up to a force even they don’t think they can defeat. Gamora narrates as we learn about her father, and what he is capable of. The last shot of Cap, struggling to hold away Thanos’ fist , while the mad Titan watches in disbelief seems to be reminiscent of what the film will be; the team fighting an unstoppable force with every ounce of strength they have, even if the gesture is futile.

In case you just can’t get enough MCU, and are looking to catch up before the big battle, AMC theatres has you taken care of. As promoted on their site, AMC will have a marathon, running 31 hours, showing the main films in the MCU: Schedule begins on 4/25/18: IRON MAN (1:30pm), THE INCREDIBLE HULK (4:00pm), THOR (6:15pm), CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER (9:00pm), MARVEL’S THE AVENGERS (11:30pm), GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY (2:15am), AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON (4:30am), CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR (7:15am), DOCTOR STRANGE (10:00am), SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING (12:45pm), BLACK PANTHER (3:15pm), AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR (6:00pm).

Joe and Anthony Russo, the brothers behind the last two Captain America sequels, will direct Avengers: Infinity War and its untitled second part. After Marvel cleverly moved the film up a week in release through a tweet thread between the film’s stars, the first part in the Avengers finale will come to theatres on April 27th.
